The problem
Databaas is built by the team at Wolk. For years we've been building data & AI platforms for our clients. And all those years we've been using American tools: Snowflake, Databricks, Fivetran, dbt Cloud. Not because we particularly want to, but because there simply are no European alternatives that meet the same standard.
That means: data leaving the EU, dependence on American legislation, and prices that rise every year. For many of our clients, especially in the public sector and privacy-conscious companies, this is becoming increasingly problematic.
Our solution
Because no European alternative existed, we decided to build one ourselves. Databaas combines the best of the modern data stack (ELT pipelines, transformations, and analytics) in one platform that runs entirely in Europe.
